📷 Your photos never leave your device. TimeStamp! only reads the date each photo was taken — no images are uploaded to any server, ever.
This Privacy Policy describes how Andrew Maxwell ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the TimeStamp! iOS app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the app works.
TimeStamp! requests access to your device's photo library in order to read the timestamp metadata — the date and time each photo was taken. This is the core mechanic of the game.
You can revoke photo access at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → TimeStamp! Revoking access will prevent the app from functioning, but you can re-grant it at any time.
We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data. This helps us understand how the app is used — for example, which game modes are most popular and how often the app is launched. This data cannot identify you personally.
Firebase Analytics may collect:
Firebase Analytics data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
TimeStamp! optionally integrates with Apple Game Center for Daily Challenge leaderboards. If you choose to participate:
We do not have access to your Apple ID or any payment information associated with your Apple account.
The limited data we collect through Firebase Analytics is used solely to:
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose beyond improving the app.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with:
TimeStamp! is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us at support@timestampgames.com and we will promptly delete it.
Since we do not store personal data on our servers, there is nothing to delete on our end. Anonymous Firebase Analytics data is retained according to Google's standard retention policies. To remove all local app data, simply delete the TimeStamp! app from your device. See our Data Deletion page for step-by-step instructions.
We take reasonable precautions to protect any data we handle. Since your photos never leave your device and we collect no personally identifiable information, your privacy risk is minimal by design.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
