Privacy Policy
🗳️ Draftable requires no account, accesses no photos, and stores only minimal game data temporarily. Game rooms are deleted automatically about 3 hours after they're created, and poll results within 30 days.
1. About This Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Andrew Maxwell ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Draftable iOS app and its companion web poll feature. We are committed to minimal data collection and full transparency.
2. What Draftable Collects
Draftable is a real-time multiplayer game. To enable live gameplay between players, we store the following data temporarily in Firebase Realtime Database:

All room data — including picks, votes, player names, and category — is stored under a unique room code and automatically deleted about 3 hours after the room is created. Poll results and votes are stored separately under a poll ID and deleted within 30 days. We do not archive this data or keep backups of it. Draftable also saves a few preferences on your device only (such as your last game mode and whether you've unlocked a purchase).
3. What Draftable Does NOT Collect
- Email addresses or contact information
- Device location or GPS data
- Photos or camera access
- Contacts or address book
- Health or biometric data
- Financial or payment information
- Persistent user accounts or profiles
4. The Web Poll Feature
After a draft is complete, the host can share a poll link. Anyone who receives this link can open it in a web browser to view the draft results and vote — no app download required.
What the poll link contains
The poll link encodes the draft data (player names, picks, category, and a unique poll ID) as URL parameters. This data is stored in Firebase and is the same data covered in Section 2 above. The link is readable by anyone who receives it — consider this when sharing.
Voter names
When someone votes via the web poll, they enter a display name. This name is stored alongside their vote in Firebase and is visible to all players on the results page ("Who Voted for Who"). Voter names are deleted with the poll results, within 30 days.
5. Firebase (Data Infrastructure)
Draftable uses Firebase Realtime Database (provided by Google) to sync game state between players in real time. Firebase processes data according to Google's Privacy Policy. All Firebase data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections.
The Firebase project is located in the United States. By playing Draftable, you consent to your temporary game data being processed in the US.
5a. Purchases & Subscriptions
Draftable offers optional purchases: the After Dark pack (one-time) and Draftable Pro ($1.99/week auto-renewing subscription). All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment details, Apple ID, or billing address. The app only checks with Apple whether a purchase or subscription is active on your device.
When a Draftable Pro subscriber hosts a room, a simple "Pro room" flag is stored with that room so other players can use Pro features. It contains no personal or payment information and is deleted with the room. Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store account settings.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Game data is shared only with:
- Firebase / Google — to power real-time multiplayer sync (see above)
- Other players in your room — player names, picks, and votes are visible to all participants in a game session by design
- Anyone with the poll link — draft results and voter names are visible to all recipients of the shared poll link
- Legal authorities — if required by applicable law
7. Children's Privacy
Draftable is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through our app, contact us at andrewgmaxwell123@gmail.com and we will take appropriate action.
8. Data Deletion
Game rooms are deleted automatically about 3 hours after they're created, and poll results within 30 days. No action is required on your part. If you need data deleted immediately (e.g., a specific poll), email us at andrewgmaxwell123@gmail.com with the poll ID and we will delete it manually. See our Data Deletion page for full instructions.
8a. User Content & Reporting
Player names, picks, custom categories and custom price lists are typed by players and shown to others in the same room and anyone with the poll link. Don't enter anyone's personal or sensitive information. Room hosts can remove players from a lobby. To report offensive content or abuse, email andrewgmaxwell123@gmail.com with the room code or poll link and we will review and remove it.
8b. Your Rights & International Users
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access or delete any data associated with a room code or poll link by emailing us; we respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, and we do not use it for profiling or automated decision-making. If you are in the EU, UK or a similar jurisdiction, we process this limited game data because it's necessary to provide the game you asked to play (performance of a contract), and you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Do Not Track: Draftable does not track you across apps or websites, so it does not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
9. Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Firebase access is controlled by security rules that restrict read/write access to valid room and poll IDs. We do not store passwords or sensitive personal information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in an updated "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of Draftable after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
